Step 1: Activate the Inverter's Wi-Fi Access Point
- On the
inverter's screen, press the Enter key (middle button).
- Navigate
to:
Setup > Wi-Fi Access Point > Enable
- The
inverter will start broadcasting a network like:
FRONIUS_240.xxxxxx
🔹 Step 2: Connect to the
Fronius Wi-Fi
- On
your phone or laptop, connect to the Wi-Fi network:
FRONIUS_240.xxxxxx
- Password:
12345678 (default)
🔹 Step 3: Open Fronius
Web Interface
- Open a
web browser.
- Enter
the following into the address bar:
http://192.168.250.181
🔹 Step 4: Login and
Connect to Your Home Wi-Fi
- Login
as:
- User:
installer
- Password:
solar (unless changed)
- Go to:
Settings > Wi-Fi Settings
- Select
your home Wi-Fi network.
- Enter
your Wi-Fi password.
- Click Connect.
- Wait
for confirmation — the inverter should now be connected to your home
network.
Step 5: Verify Connection
- On the
inverter screen, go to:
Setup > Network > Status
- You
should see an IP address assigned (not 0.0.0.0).
- Also
check if the inverter is online at solarweb.com
Troubleshooting Tips
- Use a
Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak.
- If it
doesn’t connect, restart the inverter and try again.
- You
can also use the Fronius Solar.start app for a simpler setup if you
prefer mobile.
