Investigate SOC and fault lights of batteries, if all are clear, proceed to charge as a bank of old first, new batteries last, IMPORTANT: it is recommended to engage with the customer prior to install to have them check for any fault lights on the battery, and ensure internet connection/cloud access if possible to further streamline the install process, and mitigate additional visits. Alarms are identifiable by a red/amber light under the dip switch terminal. The QR code to the right is the troubleshooting guide for BSL issues/faults. If the steps outlined therein have been followed and alarm/fault issue hasn’t been resolved, contact Sky Energy Support for further assistance.
Force Charging the Batteries: Home page>settings cog>work mode>select zero export to ct> batt first press ✅> ✅lower right corner arrow to page> return to work mode> go to page 2 via the down arrow> select time of use ✅>select all gen✅>at current time slot & next, set batt to ‘100’>press ✅lower right corner
Back to home page>battery setting>batt mode ‘lithium’> press ✅lower right corner>return to batt set page 2> ✅gen charge> ✅gen force> ✅gen signal> press ✅lower right corner
Perform shutdown & restart procedure:
1. Turn off the main battery circuit breaker.
2. (If needed) Hold down the reset button until the battery powers off completely.
3. Ensure all batteries are fully OFF, then ensure DIP switches are configured according to the required address settings (outlined below).
4. Turn the battery circuit breaker back ON to restore power.
The batteries will be charging from the generator, provided AutoStart functionality has been enabled on the generator, if generator has not been installed/configured, refer to the guide via the QR code to the right:
The new batteries must be the first ones in the stack, and a new one the master. Once the old modules are fully charged, Move the old batteries further up the cabinet, and have the new modules set up as a bank in line with the cabinet wiring diagram in the last page of this document, and repeat the ‘Force Charging the Batteries’ process, until all the new ones are at 100%. Turn off gen force when no longer requiring gen use.
Change the settings back to what they were previously once all are charged 10 100%, and change under ’battery setting’, ‘batt capacity‘ to total battery module number x100A
Dip Switches, Wiring & Other Helpful Steps:
When wiring the batteries, the positive and negative MUST connect to either side of a group for equal resistance- this will greatly affect charge and discharge balancing.
Can Cable: DEYE: only pins 4 and 5 are used for inverter-to-battery communication.
Before adjusting any DIP switch settings, always follow this safety procedure:
1. Turn off the main battery circuit breaker.
2. (If needed) Hold down the reset button until the battery powers off completely.
3. Ensure all batteries are fully OFF, then configure the DIP switches according to the required address settings (outlined below).
4. Turn the battery circuit breaker back ON to restore power.
